Dr. Sunny Friedrich

My Motivation: During my first year of graduate school, thirteen teenagers committed suicide in Palo Alto. All those kids were among the high achievers in their schools. Because of this, I was especially drawn to studying and working with the gifted.

Those incidences of teenage suicide led me to think about my own high school experiences and the painful perfectionism that plagued me. My motivation to become a psychologist was to help people get depression, anxiety, and perfectionism out of their way, Then they can become what they are meant to become without being held back by mental health issues.

I connect with my clients in the safety of our relationship, so they can feel empowered. In addition, I use the therapeutic relationship to support each client's relationship with themselves.

I am an expert at helping people find the connection to themselves and their inner wisdom. Doing so helps them connect to the sense of safety in authenticity. In essence, I support my clients while they heal and grow, so they can create the life they want.

My Super Power: I am highly intuitive. My intuition adds value to my work and is my gift to share.

My Approach: I approach each case with a sense of curiosity and a search for truth (as we know it now). I believe the truth will heal clients and help them make better choices for themselves.

What I believe about my clients and what is possible for them:

  • They are lovable
  • They have the capacity to love others
  • They are worthy
  • They can nurture themselves
  • They can heal and grow
  • They can create the life they want
